Phoenix Beauty Lounge University: Eye Lifting Tricks

Welcome Back to our Phoenix Beauty Lounge University!

More often than not, the difference between a fresh, complementing makeup look that defines and brings out your best features, and the one that’s “meh” and not doing much is in small details. Sometimes it’s even hard to pinpoint these details exactly, and most often they are based on the way we perceive facial features on a psychological level, and on the way our eyesight and brain works.

So if you want to learn more about makeup psychology, visual effects and subtle ways to consciously improve your everyday appearance, keep coming back to read our Wednesday series!

Tip #5

Another eye lifting trick: wipe mascara off the last few lashes or trim your falsies, so your outermost eyelash goes up

“Another eye lifting trick: wipe mascara off the last few lashes
or trim your falsies, so your outermost eyelash goes up”

The last eyelashes on the outer corner of the eye grow on a more horizontal line or sometimes even go down, creating an undesirable “droopy eye” effect for some people.

If you add definition mostly to the lashes that go upwards and remove mascara (or trim falsies, whichever is your case), so that the last defined lash goes up, it will create an instant eye lift, make your eyes appear more awake and will help create more of an almond shape.

This tip also works for the majority of eyelid shapes, including normal, hooded, droopy and monolid. Btw, did you notice that Britney Spears has really droopy eyes? No? Google it. See the power of makeup?

So next time you put your mascara on, check what’s going on in the very outer corners, remove excess and make sure they are nice and perky! See the difference? You’re welcome!
