A England “The Gothic Beauties” Collection

We’re excited to have ordered new A-England collection 2012 called “Gothic Beauties”. It ties in wonderfully with the whole Gothic theme lots of fashion designers are going for this coming season, and also reflects some of England’s moods throughout its history, fiction and mythology… The polishes are named after famous characters, who suffered through their lives in one way or another.. The collection is a group of 5 subtly shimmering colours, with the brand’s ultra black shade ‘Camelot’ forming the backbone behind each hue. The collection is scheduled to arrive next week (possibly earlier than it will be available on their website). All polishes are part of our “We Love Nail Polish” promo deal! $14.99 each reg. price.

OPI Skyfall Collection, preview and swatch

“Bond.. James Bond.”

Phoenix Beauty Lounge is happy to introduce the first group swatch of OPI Skyfall Collection dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of Bond 007 films. All colors of this collection are named after James Bond movie titles.

The collection swatch wheel comes from Cosmoprof expo and is the first group swatch of this collection available online at this time. Enjoy! 🙂

China Glaze Swanky Silk from “Bohemian” collection, swatches and review

Hey everyone,

Wearing China Glaze Swanky Silk color on my nails feels almost like playing “I Spy” game and trying to spot all the multi-chrome color changes that this color provides! 🙂

It’s a sophisticated champagne color with very strong rose and khaki-gold flash. Indoors with artificial light i could swear i’m wearing an intense platinum mirror metallic polish and once i step out it becomes its laid-back rose-gold polish self again.

Due to the way it creates two darker lines at the sides, it makes my nails appear more narrow and elongated. I personally like this effect.

The name is very appropriate, since this color does remind me a lot of this pale gold-rose silk taffeta used in evening gowns and i almost expect it to produce a swishy sound when i look at it 🙂

Application of metallic polishes is a bit on a tricky side. Please make sure you leave around 1/3 of polish on the brush and try not to go around the same spot too many times. Allow full 3-5 minutes dry time between coats. For China Glaze Swanky Silk color, 2 coats were enough for full coverage and color show.

I find that China Glaze Swanky Silk color is work-appropriate and low-maintenance, considering that it’s more forgiving on the tip wear and matches all your outfits. On me it almost matches my skin color and i kind of like that. It’s a nice wearable neutral with a twist.

Hey everyone,

We just got the new China Glaze real nail polish Appliquees. They feature 12 different designs, including animal print, geometrical, abstract, fruit and flower prints. Since they are made of real nail polish, they are a breeze to apply, can be easily smoothed onto the nail surface without any wrinkles or bubbles and last a fairly long time. To be honest, on me nail apps usually last longer than regular nail polish and i make sure i apply either clear top coat or gel polish top coat to protect them and add beautiful shine. My personal favorite look it to wear them on my toes! Effortless and fun pedicure look to complement that summer sandal or peep-toe shoe! 🙂
