Halloween Broken masquerade doll By Bubbly aka Joyce

20131028_020041

I like to do more feminine looks for halloween, and since I already did a pretty look, I thought I should do a more scary one. I used the exact same look as i did in my Geisha Doll Halloween Makeup look but with a lot more add on details. I played up my eyes by making it look larger than it is by glueing the lashes below the lash line and filling it in with NYX Jumbo Pencil – Cottage Cheese.

Geisha Doll Halloween Makeup look By Bubbly aka Joyce

2013-10-28 00.39.19I’ve always been fascinated with Japanese culture and most of all the clothing and makeup worn by geishas. So this year I decided to try doing a geisha look, but since I have classes to attend I figure that I would tone it down a little bit. Geishas are known to have beautiful white makeup, eyes that are lined with black eyeliner, red eyeshadow, and tiny red lips. All together the look creates a powerful impact and leaves an unforgettable image for the person.

Halloween Makeup Galaxy Look by Ev aka Evelina

Galaxies of your mind

Galaxies of your mind

“Make your heart match the universe and explore the galaxies of your mind…”

I wanted to give myself a challenge – learning the art of blending eye shadows smoothly. The theme for this look was inspired by a class I take in college – “The Universe”. We were learning about millions of distant galaxies, and I couldn’t help but be fascinated by anything interstellar!!

Mermaid Halloween Makeup Look by Ev aka Evelina

Mermaid Costume and Makeup

Mermaid Costume and Makeup

This Halloween I wanted to be something more feminine than all the kick-butt costumes I wore the previous years. I was inspired by the mystical mermaid, a beautiful half-fish half-human creature that steals the hearts of brave sailors 😉

It’s #showmeyourmani time again!

Hey everyone,

It is #showmeyourmani time again! 🙂

This week i’m wearing (!) surprise 🙂 Deborah Lippmann nail polish named “Lady Sings the Blues”. It is a lovely glitter polish in a deep blue base. I love how the jelly texture of the base makes almost an “ombre” effect on the hex silver glitter particles.. The polish has pretty good coverage and is packed with glitter. It’s amazing for a special night out, and yet it even looks good with dark jeans 🙂 This was two coats. Hope you liked it 🙂

Available in store and online at http://phoenixbeautylounge.com/deborah-lippmann-nail-polish-1/.

Thank you and take care,
Liliana

Manicure Show Time! #showmeyourmani

Hello everyone,

It’s manicure show time again! Yey!

This week i’m wearing a deep saturated red by Deborah Lippmann that’s been on my wish-list for a while now. It’s Deborah Lippmann “Lady is a Tramp”, one of her iconic best-seller colors.

This is a true deep red that’s not leaning towards cool or warm and it’s easy for everyone to pull off. It seems to look even more retro glam on my oval-shaped nails. I’m almost tempted to use a dial phone and a fountain pen. By the way, the draft of this blog post was written on a typewriter. This was three thin coats.

And of course when i think of this name, this is the first thing that comes to my mind.

“Lady is a Tramp” by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet. Has anyone else fall in love with their electric performance of this jazz standard? Honestly, it was a big eye-opener for me.. So go check it out!

Is it just me, or you also think she could’ve worn this gorgeous red Deborah Lippmann “Lady is a Tramp” color on her nails, too? 😉

Thank you and take care,
Liliana

#Showmeyourmani If You Love Me

#Showmeyourmani number 1

Hey guys, it’s that time again!! #showmeyourmani. This week I am wearing Deborah Lippmann Wicked Game and Deborah Lippmann Do the Mermaid. Deborah Lippmann Wicked Game is a purple that appears green depending on lighting and movement. Deborah Lippmann Do the Mermaid is frosty purple with purple and silver glitter. I love this color combo, the colors highlight each other and also contrast each other. Adding nail art gems brings the design to the next level of glam.

#Showmeyourmani number 2

Hi there nail goddesses,

Time for another round of #Showmeyourmani!

Got bored of my gels briefly and put OPI A-Piers To Be Tan over them. Maybe they should’ve called it A-Piers To Be Ghirardellicious, for the chocolate factory near the piers. It’s a creamy milk chocolate color and I love it! Too bad it doesn’t look as nice in the bottle all by itself… :-S
