Why, hello shiny jellies and crellies from China Glaze Spring 2015 Road Trip Collection! 🙂 Did i just say Spring 2015? Yes, i did. All the pastels seem so light and refreshing after the heavy darks and massive glitter bombs normally associated with Christmas time 🙂 Who else feels that painting your nails in pastels will magically bring spring weather sooner? 😉
Do you love gel polish? There’s something to that super-shine that lasts for at least two weeks that can make almost anyone smile. And thankfully, the industry has expanded to give us so many options, such as CND Shellac, OPI GelColor, Gel 2, Luxio, Entity1, ibd just gel, etc.
“When creating colors for a new seasonal collection, I always draw inspiration from the food, music, art, landscape and street style of a particular destination,” remarks Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Executive VP. “While conceptualizing the shades of the Nordic Collection, I ate cinnamon buns and drank glogg, snapped photographs of brightly painted houses, and gazed in wonder at the region’s topography – from the northern lights and midnight sun to lava flats and deep fjords. All of these diverse elements came together to inspire an equally varied array of colors that capture the aesthetic of the Nordic region.
My favorite colors for fall are a mix of nail polish and gel, from left to right they are Entity – Midnight runway, Essie – After school boy blazer, CND Vinylux – Masquerade, Essie – Dive bar, Essie – Topless and barefoot, and last but not least Gel ll Reaction – Tahiti Sweetie. These are mixes of different colors that I like and some of them can be worn for the other seasons too. Some are polish and others are gel.
