China Glaze Texture Collection Swatches

The exciting collection previews aren’t over yet! This time we’re sharing the China Glaze Texture collection for Summer 2013. This collection features six bright shades with a unique feature, a matte texturized finish!

From left to right: Unrefined – Bump & Grind – Itty, Bitty & Gritty – Toe-tally Textured – In The Rough – Of Course!

These are similar to matte glitters such as the OPI Liquid Sand polishes, but they are a tad different. Let’s take a look up close.

  • Unrefined: Bubblegum pink
  • Bump & Grind: Bright magenta
  • Itty, Bitty & Gritty: Peachy pink

  • Toe-Tally Textured: Bright orange
  • In The Rough: Pastel green
  • Of Course!: Bright blue

These look very interesting! The finish looks gritty but feels fairly soft. They are meant to mimic sand and we think they were very successful in creating that effect. The China Glaze Texture shades bring a subtle 3D effect and unique finish to your nails, for those looking to try something different. The shades are fun, bright and very appropriate for summer. We can’t wait to try these!

We at Phoenix Beauty Lounge are so ready for Spring! Especially Spring collections, time for those beautiful delicate pastels and cheerful pops of colour! China Glaze is setting the tone with this beautiful delicate Spring collection called Avant Garden.

Hi everyone! Guess what? We have swatches of the much anticipated China Glaze Hologlam collection! This collection features twelve beautiful holographic shades. Let’s take a look!

From left to right: Get Outta My Space, Astroo-Hot, Infra-Red, When Stars Collide, Not In This Galaxy, OMG A UFO, Don’t Be A Luna-Tic, Sci-Fly By, Take A Trek, Strap On Your Moonboots, Galactic Gray, Cosmic Dust.

The collection features pinks, reds, coral, green, blues, gunmetal and silver. Something for everyone! Let’s take a look at them up close and admire the holo sparkle. 🙂

We absolutely love this collection and cannot wait until the release! Cosmic Dust has the strongest and prettiest holographic sparkle, but the coral shade, Not In This Galaxy, has us completely enchanted. What do you think? Which shades will you be getting?

Hi everyone! More beautiful swatches for you. This is the China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil collection. This collection was inspired by the Cirque Du Soleil feature film, Worlds Away 3D.

Finally, here’s a swatch of the electric blue creme, Hanging In The Balance. Two coats were used to create a nice even coverage. It dried to an extremely glossy finish, no top coat came near the swatch you see above!

The whole collection is full of really fun and quirky bright shades. They even introduced some indie-like glitters such as Whirled Away. We personally really love It’s A Trap-Eze, a jam-packed yummy glitter and Running In Circles, a must-have for all the girls who love green polishes.

OPI Mariah Carey Swatches

Today we’re sharing some swatches of the OPI Mariah Carey collection! This collection features four of the amazing new Liquid Sand effect polishes. These are glitters that dry with a matte and textured finish. Sounds fun right? 😀 Let’s take a look!

This is the full eight-piece collection, it features four Liquid Sand glitters (pictured on the left), two shimmery polishes, a glitter and a creme polish.

From left to right: Stay The Night, Get Your Number, Can’t Let Go, The Impossible.

  • Stay The Night: Beautiful matte black glitter with magenta glitter sparkles.
  • Get Your Number: Matte ocean blue glitter with holographic glitter.
  • Can’t Let Go: Purple glitter with lavender sparkles.
  • The Impossible: Hot pink matte glitter with small and large hex glitter and star confetti glitter.

Finally here is a swatch of OPI The Impossible, using two layers. There’s tiny holographic hexagon glitters in this polish, as well as larger pink hexagon glitters and a few star glitters too! These star glitters are harder to fish out as they are heavier and sink to the bottom of the bottle, but before you apply, putting your bottle upside down for a few minutes will help a great deal!

This polish is such a beauty! The Liquid Sand textured effect is smoother than you would expect, it’s also easier to remove than regular glitter polish which is a nice bonus. In the sunshine this polish really comes to life though, it almost looks like there’s sugar on your nails! Very mesmerizing.
